I finally got a layout together that required a bit of effort to code and I hope it works out. I was actually trying to do a layout like this (with the static image on the side) for my new site but I couldn't figure out the coding in time for the deadline and had to move things around a bit to make a more traditional layout. I'm still working on improving my coding, but it's a process.

Speaking of which, I have a new one-page tribute to Mrs. Lovett called Devils Food. It was created for the 2011 Amassment One Month, One Page Marathon. I really wanted to do something a little different from what I have done before and since I have never created a page for a movie character, I thought this might be the way to go. I hope people find it interesting because, while it does focus on the film version, I did a bit of research on the original story and included that in there as well.

Considering the way domains pop up and then disappear these days, Alexiel.net is fairly old. I've had this domain for over seven years now and its history dates back even further. It started as a Sailormoon collective called "Sailormoon Lullaby". As the Sailormoon sites begain to die off one by one and new series sites began to emmerge, the name was changed to simply "Lullaby". The name came from a song by Ani DiFranco in which she sings, "I think I'm gonna cry/ I don't know why./ Think I'm gonna sing myself / a lullaby./ Feel free to listen." The idea was that the sites were little things I created primarily to amuse myself. In keeping with this theme, most of my sites, even to this day, are named after songs. Lullaby was spread over the free servers for a while until some people offered to host different bits. In the end they all closed their domains and I got a domain of my own.

Alexiel.net was purchased in 2002 from Bargain Name. Originally it was hosted on my own server, but that was killed in October of 2002. In January of 2003, Host Radius began hosting A.net and, even though I left for a while for a far worse host, I went back and was very happy for a long time. Then I had issues with my autopay and my domain went down and I couldn't recover it. Now I am hosted at Servers and Domains.

Alexiel, an angel from Angel Sanctuary by Kaori Yuki, is the organic angel and twin sister to Rosiel, the inorganic angel. She rebelled against heaven, so her body and soul were separated--her body locked away and her soul doomed to reincarnate and always die a violent death. She is beautiful, proud, and strong.

I found the image for this layout on MiniTokyo credited to the mangaka Tama. Other than that, I know very little about this artist. I just thought it was kind of a fun image. The pngs and decorations I used are from Jaejunggim and Mixiuery's Resources, some of the backgrounds are from The Inspiration Gallery, and I'm not sure where I found the brush. The title song is from Emilie Autumn and is titled Gothic Lolita. Everything is © by the original owners and is used only for entertainment purposes. Thank you and enjoy the rest of the site.
