CLAMP Connection
A lot of CLAMP's works are really good (some people would say all, but I don't) but what makes Clover so special. Clover is their best work. The art is elegent but not over done. The story is simple but deep. The characters are wonderful.
X has great characters and an interesting story, but it gets cluttered at times. There are a lot of characters, a lot of subplots, a lot of twisted relationship, sadism, and wow! It is something you either have to pay A LOT of attention to or you'll miss a lot of the story. It's a great work but Clover is better.
Tokyo Babylon has an excellent story structure but it lacks Clover's beautiful art. The style is much more simplistic.
Wish is nice and has a lot of white space but it is for those who like homosexual relationships. I don't mind them (in fact I like Wish a lot) but it is a very romantic story. It doesn't have the action of Clover.
Magic Knight Rayearth and Card Captor Sakura are both nice stories with great art but they are both cluttered like X. RG Veda is the same way, only darker.
C.C. Detetives, I don't like. Also the other two series that involve the boys from this story just aren't my cup of tea. Angelic Layer... New York abstains respectfully. There new works are mostly rehashes of old themes (Chobits) or rehashes of old stories.
I know I've probably ticked a bunch of CLAMP fans off by now. I like CLAMP and I love a lot of their stuff. Most of the titles I've mentioned above are things that I have read and liked. Clover is still my favorite. I'd say it's perfect actually. I love Clover.
