Please Save My Earth is the story of seven people who, in a past life, were scientists who were sent by their home planet to research the Earth. The seven of them died and were reincarnated on the Earth they had grown to love.

--Shion’s Story--
Shion, a young Sarches, was a child of war--his parents killed, his life a constant race, his soul lost. He went in a house to find some food, but soldiers where there and they fired at him but he used his ESP and killed them instead. He was rescued and put in an orphanage and was eventually taken in by a man named Lazlo and his cat like creature Kyaa. Lazlo understood his situation and tried to help him become less bitter. Unfortunately Lazlo and Kyaa both die soon after Shion arrived.

Shion later met Gyokuran and they became... friends? The two were in constant competition, Shion always wanting win over Gyokuran. Whenever he got close it always seemed as though Gyokuran would get the best of him. Gyokuran had everything (looks, intelligence, and kindness) but he needs people who would admire his "greatness" and Shion figures that that is the reason for their "friendship." Most of the history of this story comes from Shion’s perspective, so it bears a lot of his own interruption. It’s possible that Gyokuran, while very competitive with Shion, really was trying to be a good friend. That isn’t to say that Shion was entirely wrong, but he wasn't entirely right either.

Gyokuran introduces Shion to Shikido as they are in the same class together. A girl falls in love with Shion and he kisses her, which causes her to become angry. It seems Gyokuran was in love with her and he was able to comfort her, but he asks her to forgive Shion so she goes to him and tells him that she is only forgiving him for the sake of Gyokuran. Naturally, this really ticks Shion off. He graduates and goes to college to become an artist. Later, the government pays him a big salary to go on a mission to KK but he uses all of his paycheck one day to buy a Kyaa-like creature he names Kyaa Jr.

Than came the mission to ZKK101. A team of seven scientists were to go to a base on the Earth's moon and study the planet. The people chosen to go were Shion, Gyokuran, Enju, Hiragi, Shusuran, Shikaido, and Mokuren.

--Mokuren’s Story--
Mokuren is the daughter of two Sarjilians, which is extremely rare because they aren’t supposed to marry. Apparently they must remain virgins in order to retain their powers. Her parents left "Paradise" (the place where Sarjilians live) with her and raised her in the normal world where her father taught her normal world love songs. When she was a little older a man and woman kidnapped her and brought her to Paradise for a reward. In Paradise they generally aren’t allowed to leave and they don’t wear any clothes. They do, however, have special gowns that they wear during ceremonies and when Mokuren became friends with a boy nearby, she would wear that outfit and sneak out. Her servant (so to speak) and friend Moto was suspicious because the dress would get dirty and worn. Later, the boy’s father dies and the boy asks Mokuren to heal him, but her powers do not include the ability to bring back the dead so she is unable to help him. The boy doesn't believe Mokuren and he leaves hating her. After several years, Mokuren learned about the Earth and it reminded her of her father’s eyes and be begged for about Earth and gained permission to leave Paradise and go on the mission to KK.

---On the Moon---
The seven scientists go to the moon for the purpose of observing the earth, but personalities gradually make for a great deal of trouble. Gyokuran falls for Mokuren, Enju is in love Gyokuran, Shion secretly is in love with Mokuren though he masks it with hate, Shusuran wants to protect Enju, Shikaido fell for Mokuren, and on and on. Shion tends to be rather mean to Mokuren which causes problems between him and Gyokuran.

While all of this is going on at the moon base, a weapon of mass destruction destroys their planet. Basically they are completely cut off from everything. They have no home and their futures don't look too bright. Needless to say this doesn't ease tensions on the Moon base. Shion wants to go to Earth (mostly because he wants a home so he has someplace to return to) but Hiragi rejects the idea and they agree that there presence on Earth would not be a good idea. Shion still doesn't agree and he gets really angry.

One of the first things they did on the Moonbase was create their own passwords for the computers and such. Shion, who wants to go to the Earth, starts asking Shusuran for her password. In order to stop him from harrassing the women, they decide to lock him up. Eventually it looks like they will lock Gokuran up too. Mokuren goes to see Shion and asks that he lightens up on Gyokuran. Shion sees his chance to win over on Gokuren and he agrees to do as she wishes as long as she sleeps with him. Unfortunately if she does that, she will lose all her powers as a Sarjilian. She changes her mind at the last minute but he proceeds to rape her. This REALLY does not sit well on the base and even Enju gets pissed off at him. Mokuren is unconscious for a week and when she wakes up she still has the symbol on her forehead. She doesn’t want them to hurt Shion so she claims that they are married.

Suddenly everyone start getting sick and it turns out to be the plague. Gyokuran expects Mokuren to cure them but she simply can’t. They start dying and some want to go to Earth. Eventually everyone is dead except Mokuren, Shion, and Shukaido. Shukaido was able to create a vaccine, but there was only enough for one person. As a way of getting back at Shion because he didn’t like the way Shion treated Mokuren (not to mention a wee bit of jealousy) he gave him the vaccine so he would be left alone on the moon for a long time. It worked and everyone was dead except Shion. He went a little crazy to say the least and built something--perhaps a horrible weapon that could destroy the Earth. Eventually he too contracted the plague and he died. Unfortunately, he had plans.

---On Earth---

The story actually begins with a girl named Alice and a bratty little boy named Rin. Alice and Rin (much like the OVA’s) meet Issei and Jinpachi at the zoo who tell them about their strange dreams. Rin falls out of the window and is saved by Mokuren (in the form of air) and he regains his memory as Shion. Enju (who is now a boy named Issei), Gyokuran (Jinpachi), Shusuren (Sakura), and Hiragi (Daisuke) have all awakened (to various degrees) and Alice finds that she is Mokuren and Rin claims to be Shikido, which he kind of uses as a cover so he can start work on his master plan--getting the passwords. He tries to get Tokyo Tower under his control and that gets Mikuro and Tamura involved as well as Haruhiko (Shukaido). Shion/Rin and Mikoru fight as in the OVA and he ends up in the hospital where Mikuro comes to see him and asks for a truce. Rin opens the door with his powers and his mother sees and she claims that he is not her son so he runs away and is found by a doctor and a vagrant named Bun. He is able to get all the passwords except Alice who hasn’t fully awaked as Mokuren. Rin gets this man involved who hates Tamura (he actually shoots Tamura) and has him kidnap Alice, then makes it look like Tamura kidnapped Rin. She fully awakes and tells him the password and he goes to Tokyo Tower. Alice realizes that Rin and Shion are fighting in his mind and Rin wants to destroy the base while Shion wants to control it. Alice and everyone (including Tamura) go to the tower to see what will happen and to prevent a potential disaster. Rin wins out and he tries to destroy it but it doesn’t work. Then he finally remembered what he had built--a recording of Mokuren’s singing and the base was entirely run over with plants, so by destroying the technology, Mokuren and Shion were able to save the Earth. Rin has a dream where he looks like himself but he thinks he is Shion and the other six enter it and see the moon base. He is trying to cut away all the plants and Alice points out that he is Rin not Shion. The characters come to a sort of reconciliation and return home.

---After---
Haruhiko moves but writes to Alice. Tamura is married and has two daughters. Alice and Rin (who is now really tall) are engaged and so are Sakura and Issei. Jinpachi has a little girl who has a crush on him and Daisuke is there. Bun and the doctor are in business together and Rin is back with his mother. All of them are friends, even Mikuro and Rin and they all look forward to bright and happy futures.
