Kokushou Sakura

Sakura is a lot like her former incarnation. She is skeptical, practical, and does her best to protect Enju’s incarnation, even though he frustrates her endlessly. She speaks her mind and isn’t afraid to tell someone that he is being an idiot, especially if that person is Issei. She sympathizes with Issei’s confused feelings for Jinpachi, but she also knows that he must get over Enju’s love for Gyokuran and move on.

She started having moon dreams at a relatively young age. She remembered enough about their home world to call for Sarjalim when her bus almost crashes while she is on a school field trip. Hiiragi (or Daisuke) was on the same trip and also was having moon dreams, so he recognized the name of their goddess. The two became friends at this point and went together to meet the other moon people when the letter appeared in a fringe magazine.

When they first meet, she mistakes Alice for Enju and Issei for Mokuren, but after the initial confusion, she naturally gravitates towards Issei. He confides in her his feelings for Jinpachi and confesses to her when he kisses him. Although she is furious with them both, she manages to patch up their relationship as friends.

After letting go of Enju’s feelings for Gyokuran, Issei and Sakura end up a couple. The relationship will most likely be difficult since they have such opposite personalities, but at least they can return each other’s feelings in a way they could not in their past lives.

Shuseran

Shuseran was hurt by bad relationships and doesn’t have the greatest esteem for the male gender. She is a good judge of people, even if she can be a little bitchy at times. She quickly assesses Shion as a handsome guy with a poor personality. She is close to Enju, and she might even be a bit in love with her friend. She thinks her friend is pretty, and perhaps that is why Sakura looks so much like Enju (the primary difference in their look is that Sakura has bangs).

When Gyokuran abandons Enju for Mokuren, she insists that her friend gets over him, but she secretly envies the love she has for Gyokuran. Her heart was broken, but she never loved anyone quite like Enju loved Gyokuran. She tries to protect and help her but her frustration is apparent in her code which is "I’m sorry I can’t protect Enju!"

She does not like Mokuren very much at first, probably because she came between Gyokuran her best friend. She gets especially bitchy when Mokuren’s singing causes the plants to grow and mess up the base. Her attitude eventually changes because of what happens to Mokuren.

When their home world is destroyed, Shion wants to go to Earth, but the others don’t agree. First he tries to convince Mokuren who tells him not to overestimate her powers. He than tries to get Shuseren to give him her password and she reports him to Gyokuran who has him locked up for bothering the women. She gets mad at Gyokuran for inprisioning him until she finds Shion and Mokuren together. She does her best to comfort Mokuren when she wakes up from being in shock. Instead of being mad at Gyokuran, she is furious at Shion for making a bad situation even worse and supports his banishment.

Soon after, the plague hits and Gyokuran dies. Enju breaks down and Shuseran supports her until she herself dies. In her next life she accomplishes what she couldn’t in this life and convinces "Enju" to move on.
