Episode 126
Bundle of New Life! The Destiny of Stars, The Time of Farewell.

Super Sailormoon, still holding the infant, finally collapses to the ground from exhaustion. Neptune and Uranus run to her side as the other Senshi finally recover and rise from the rubble of what was once the Mugen school. They run to her side as well and find that she is alone, without the baby or the other Senshi.

Chibi Usa has finally recovered enough to sit up in bed and she asks about Hotaru. When no one answers, she realizes that they think Hotaru is dead, but she rejects this idea, recalling that Hotaru spoke to her in her dream. Usagi, tears welling up in her eyes, begins to say something but Mamoru cuts her off. He says that Sailormoon did her very best to save Hotaru and that she must be alive somewhere. Later Chibi Usa leaves to play with a bunch of her friends wearing the backpack like the one she gave Hotaru. Usagi watches her sadly, knowing that Chibi Usa is still lonely without Hotaru. Although the Senshi do not know what became of Hotaru or Sailorpluto, they are still looking for them. Usagi recalls holding Hotaru in her hands so she believes in her heart that Hotaru is still alive. On the bus, Chibi Usa sits away from her friends and thinks about Hotaru.

Meanwhile, Haruka and Michiru sit together in a Café. Haruka drinks tea while Michiru holds baby Hotaru in her arms and feeds her a bottle. The two girls have been taking care of her, but the time has come to return her to where she belongs. They take her to the hospital where Professor Tomoe is recovering. He was badly hurt, so badly hurt that he cannot walk and must sit in a wheel chair, and he seems to have lost major parts of his memory. The doctor says that he can still have a normal live, but he may never recover all of his memories. He still recalls Hotaru though, but he is not surprised to see that she is a little baby. Michiru confesses that she feels sad because she must leave Hotaru, but Haruka replies that they have one more thing they must do before they leave the city.

Chibi Usa is playing at the park with her friends but she loses her hat again and goes to find it. On the way she sees an image of Sailorpluto, who comforts her by telling her that Hotaru is still alive. “Hotaru had two different personalities,” she explains. “Sailorsaturn and Death Buster Mistress 9. With Sailormoon’s help, she destroyed Mistress 9 and has been reborn on this star (meaning Earth). She’s starting a new life.” With that, Pluto disappears but promises that she will see Chibi Usa again.

Chibi Usa hears someone calling out to her and sees a man in a wheelchair holding her missing hat. She is shocked to see that the man is Professor Tomoe and that he is holding baby Hotaru in his arms. Hotaru suddenly sits up and reaches out for Chibi Usa. A nurse calls Tomoe away but Chibi Usa bids Hotaru farewell, knowing that she will see her again.

Out in the city the other Senshi are still searching for traces of Hotaru. Haruka and Michiru find them and challenge Moon to a fight, saying that she is not worthy of becoming Earth’s future queen. The fight is very difficult but Moon finally defeats them using her power to dodge Uranus’s attack, which then knocks both Uranus and Neptune down. They kneel before her and explain that this was only a challenge to see her power and complete their mission to find the true Messiah. “We found the true Messiah at last and saved the Earth,” says Uranus. “The true Messiah? Who is it?” Moon asks. The ladies begin to walk away but Moon asks them if Hotaru is alive and they reply that she is and that Moon will see her again.
