Later the Senshi discover that SailorPluto, who had died during their fight with Black Moon, is still alive and has joined with the other two Senshi, who are SailorUranus and SailorNeptune. Sailormoon’s outfit suddenly changes into her Princesss Serenity dress and they bow before her. They apologize for treating Princess Serenity rudely, but insist that it was for the purpose of their mission. Pluto explains, “We defended the Silver Millennium from a distance. The princess and the Silver Millennium have been resurrected again in this world. And we, too. Like you, it was promised we would be reincarnated. We have newly awakened on this planet. But it seems we are too late. Our full awakening came in the time of crisis. They are already invading. Deeply, quietly, they built their fortress. We've let these invading enemies slip through. It's our mistake."

Minako asks them where the Death Busters came from and Neptune explains that they are aliens from the Tau star system, set to invade Earth. Pluto says, “From a far away time and place. This land sparkles with a great power. The area of this Infinity zone is veiled in the great aura of a hidden power. They've probably been drawn to it.”

"Intentionally... Accidentally..." Uranus says. "A twist in the time and space here is occurring. They could be coming from it. And, unless we defeat the being, this planet will be cornered into ruin." She explains that she and the other two have been investigating the problem and that they do not want the other Senshi to get involved, even Sailormoon. Princess Serenity insists that they are all senshi and should work together, but they remain firm. "We three have special powers you don't have. We've been awarded stronger powers and stronger items. Leave things to us." Mamoru observes that they must be speaking of the weapons that they carry, which are in fact the three talismans for which the Death Busters are looking. "The talismans we carry, and our biggest mission, are to bury the biggest enemy. The god of ruin."

Later, Luna reads a story in the news paper about the Infinity School. Students have gone missing and some bodies were found in the botanical garden, so land development has stopped. Usagi’s dad notices the story in the paper and refers to Professor Tomoe as a “mad scientist”. "He was a world-famous scholar of genetic engineering. Seven, eight years ago. But he was probably too quick to announce his research, and he was banished by the scientific community,” he explains.

Mamoru finally finds some information on Professor Tomoe, specifically that he was researching the idea of a “super human” and selling his information to the highest bidder, which ended up being the Infinity District. While the buildings were being constructed there, a terrible fire took the life of his wife and badly hurt his daughter, Hotaru. Luna asks Chibi Usa to keep an eye on Hotaru, since her father seems so suspicious.

In a dark place, Kaolinite listens to Pharaoh 90, the main evil force the Death Busters work for, as he gives her instructions. The Taioron Crystal that they rely on for power is fading which has left their world in ruin. They plan to eat the souls of humans and gather the “lights of the planets' protection”, and put an end to their ruin. Kaolinite is very concerned about the appearance of new soldiers who seem to be stronger than the others and she wonders if their ruin is inevitable.
